Dayton
Dayton, Ohio
Overview ()
-
About DaytonThere’s no need to head out west to explore vineyards when there’s a wide variety of winery tours in Dayton. Old Mason Winery, Caesar Creek, Olde Schoolhouse, and The Winery at Versailles are all great places, just to name a few. If you’ve got a sweet-tooth, hop aboard the Ohio Buckeye Candy Trail which stops at 31 different local and family-owned chocolate stores across Dayton.
Take part in a little Dayton tradition and stick a piece of chewed gum on the “gum wall” at the Maid-Rite in Greenville. While you’re there, grab one of their well-known sandwiches.
There’s a little something for everyone at Heatherwoode Golf Club. They have parties on the deck every Wednesday night with bourbon and cigar tastings. Their practice area also has 40,000 square feet of natural Bermuda grass teas, 30 hitting stations, automated tees, and an 8,000 square-foot putting green.
Reid Memorial Park has two 18-hole golf courses, the North and South course. The North course is more challenging, while the south is more forgiving for players with less experience or are just beginning. Rates for both courses are very affordable.
